This is a basic first aid course that provides participants with a general introduction to the principles of emergency first aid.
This course is not an Occupational First Aid course and will not meet a company's Occupational First Aider requirement under current Health & Safety Legislation but is an excellent way to increase the awareness of First Aid “On The Road”
On completion of the course participants will be able to:
Carry out assessment and initial reaction
Assess the extent of injury
Provide on the spot emergency First Aid
Deal effectively with common roadside injuries
Sample of items covered:
Diagnosis and principles of treatment
Examination of casualty
Burns
Wounds and bleeding
Control of bleeding
Sprains, strains and dislocation
Crash injuries
Helmet removal and equipment necessary
Duration: 1 Day
